Bill O'Reilly Is A Big, Fat Idiot!

I caught a little bit of The O'Reilly Factor on FOX News last night, and I was reminded of why I hate The O'Reilly Factor: Bill O'Reilly is a big, fat idiot.

One of his guests was an attourney for the American Civil Liberties Union, and although I loathe the ACLU because they are the PETA of civil liberties watchdog groups, in that the ten-thousandth of one percent of good they manage to accomplish is offsent by the other ninety-nine-point-nine-nine-nine-nine percent of utter stupidity on which they waste their time, money, and effort. Anyway, everyone knows that the ACLU is a far left-leaning organization, and Bill O'Reilly is the symmetrically opposite right-leaning person. Every time he would ask her a question about the case they were "discussing," he would instantly cut off any response she tried to make and interject his own opinion on the question he just asked. Now, just like anyone else with a modicum of common sense, I view anything the ACLU does as it was intended, as comic relief, but when you have a liberal and a conservative discussing an issue, and the only person allowed to speak is the conservative, exactly how "fair and balanced" is that, FOX News?

His next guests in the excerpt I witnessed were the authors of the Left Behind novel series, with whom he proceded to argue Christianity vs. Catholicism. "But aren't Catholics Christians?" you might ask. "Apparently, not according to Bill O'Reilly," I might answer. He was clearly trying to sell Catholicism, described by O'Reilly as his religion, to the viewers. Every time the Protestant Christian THEOLOGIAN would bring up a point about how Bill O'Reilly's Catholic selling point is actually, you know, nowhere mentioned in the Bible, Bill would just cut him off and skim onto a new point. How "fair and balanced" is it that one of your top commentators is pushing his religious views on your audience, FOX News?
